HE GRABBED HER GUN?!

HE CAME TO THE ALTER ALIVE BUT NEVER ROSE AGAIN 💔 💔😭 HE LAY DOWN DURING THE LITANY OF THE SAINTS… BUT NEVER STOOD UP AGAIN. "Mama, when I become a priest, the first blessing I give will be for you. You suffered too much for me." Those were the words Deacon Michael spoke to his mother the night before his ordination. The following morning, When the bishop invited the candidates to lie prostrate for the Litany of the Saints, Michael gently lowered himself to the floor. The choir began to sing. Everyone prayed. Nobody noticed that something was wrong. When the litany ended, the other candidates stood up. Michael remained on the floor. One minute passed. Then three. Almost five minutes later, a priest approached him. "Michael, my brother, get up. It is time." He touched his shoulder. No response. He called his name again, louder this time. "MICHAEL!" Suddenly, the priest screamed for help. The music stopped. The bishop rushed forward. Seminarians gathered around him. But Michael was gone. The young man who had come to receive the priesthood had died before the bishop could lay hands on his head. When his mother heard the news, she ran toward the altar. "Where is my son? Let me see my son!" When she saw his body, she fell to the ground. The cathedral erupted in tears. She waited. As though her son might somehow open his eyes, raise his hand, and bless her. But his hand never moved. The bishop turned away, crying. That evening, his mother sat beside his coffin, still wearing the clothes she had bought for his ordination. She had spent years dreaming of the day she would call him Father. Now she sat beside him, whispering his name into the silence. "Michael, tomorrow they will bury you. But how will I explain to my heart that you are not coming home?" His fellow seminarians carried his coffin. The priests who had come to celebrate his ordination now walked behind him in tears. And his mother followed, holding the rosary she had prayed with on the day of his ordination. As the coffin was lowered, she whispered: "MY SON, I GAVE YOU TO GOD TO BECOME A PRIEST. I NEVER KNEW I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN YOU TO HIM IN A COFFIN." 😭💔 THE LAST JOURNEY HOME When Michael's body was eventually taken home, the entire village came out to receive him. People had expected to welcome a newly ordained priest. Instead, they welcomed his lifeless body. The old women who had prayed for his vocation sat outside their houses, crying. The children who had hoped to receive his first priestly blessing followed the procession in confusion. His father, who had remained strong throughout the morning, finally broke down when he saw his son being carried into the family home. He touched Michael's forehead and whispered: "My boy, I am proud of you. You did not become the priest we expected to celebrate today, but you will always be my son." His mother sat beside the coffin throughout the night. She refused to leave him. Occasionally, she would straighten his clothes, touch his face, and speak to him as though he could hear her. "Michael, your brothers are asking for you." A few minutes later: "Michael, the priest has come to pray." Then, almost in a whisper: "My son, tomorrow they will bury you. But I am still waiting for you to wake up." Nobody had the heart to tell her again that he would not. At his funeral, priests from different parishes gathered to pray for him. The same Church that had prepared to celebrate his ordination now gathered to commend his soul to God. There was no first Mass. No priestly blessing from Michael. No photograph of him standing in newly received vestments. Only a coffin, a grieving family, and a community trying to understand why such a painful thing had happened. And as the final prayers were said, his mother placed her hand on the coffin and whispered: "Go in peace, my son. If you cannot serve God on earth as a priest, may you find rest in His eternal Kingdom Then she broke down again 💔😢 May God guide and protect our priests and give them strength to carry on their apostolic work till the end
