because all of una don rush mortgage house, no mean say you don settle. Jumping from one job to another is not settlement, packing shift up and down no follow etc. Give yourself time

Buying a house is trap, my ambition is creat business back home and leave. it took me 8yrs to get my green card in America before I knew all my friends back home are married and with kids while I was busy chasing work permit, most of the people I met on my journey are dead, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack

D.N.O. | THE BLACK SHEEP :
Having money and settling down are two different things.
I believe it takes about seven years to truly understand a new country, its opportunities, laws, regulations, property market, and where you want to build your life.
Investment properties can be a great wealth-building strategy, but buying a primary residence as a new immigrant is something you need to think carefully about.
A primary residence can tie you to a mortgage, a location, a job, and responsibilities before you fully understand your financial capacity or where you want to settle.
Investment properties are one thing; buying a home to live in is another. Give yourself time to explore the land before making a decision that could limit your options.
I’ll stand by that advice any day. But do you bo.

Stop being rigid to yourself .. situations differ with individuals. “Na oyibo tell me” is not a yardstick 😂 if you change your mind about the area you can remodgage… Just make money that’s all.

it's a terrible mistake to buy mortgage as a young person you are caged for life you cannt move even if you see better opportunities to move .your investment should be liquid

I agree, but I don’t agree completely. I bought my house after being in the USA for exactly eight years. However, a friend of mine bought a house after being here for five years, and she's doing incredibly well. I have always believed in not limiting yourself; instead, enhance your skills to make more money with one job, not multiple jobs. The best advice should be to let people do what works for them according to their income and timing. And a house does not limit you to a fixed location. You can buy and rent it out after a year and repeat it and rinse. Please do your research well.
