1) Monism is a metaphysical thesis and has no implications on science. 2) Monism doesn't imply a block universe (and a block universe is unfavorable for other reasons). However, the monad would not be contingent either way. The monad is eternal, with no way to not exist. It is necessary in both the Thomistic sense and a modal sense. I don't accept the block universe, so under my thesis, the features of the monad at any given moment are contingent on causal history, but the existence of the monad is necessary. 3) I'm also a determinist. So I do not accept that there is a potential for anything to be different or for the monad to fail to exist.

The word "god" points to the title, not to the nature. God is something or someone you have a religious relationship with. Abrahamic religions declare that there is an entity beyond the normal existence that creates our world. And it is the only entity you must have religious relationship with. According to abrahamiv religions there are other entities exist in our world and you must not treat them as gods. But you can. And they will be your gods if you do.

The personal problem for me is that I associate monopolytheism with a cult called "a true church" - headed by someone who's legal name is Darwin Fish. I've spoken extensively to some of the people from there.
