@mothershipsg: The hawker, who runs the popular Pin Xiang Wanton Mee stall at Toa Payoh Palm Spring Market, has to stop working after being diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He Mei Fa, 57, runs the stall with his wife, Ye Xue Ying, 52 (both names transliterated). He was diagnosed with cancer on Oct. 5 and is undergoing chemotherapy, Shin Min Daily News reported. He has completed one course of treatment. The wanton noodle stall at Block 93 Lorong 4 Toa Payoh has been operating for 33 years since 1993. A notice at the stall informed customers that the business will be closed with no confirmed date of return. He said he began to lose weight at the start of 2026 and went for a check-up. About three weeks ago, he felt unwell and tired. He was then diagnosed with cancer. In a tragic coincidence, the diagnosis on Oct. 5 fell on his birthday. His wife's birthday was the next day. He said his health was generally good all along, other than having high blood pressure and diabetes. Despite the bad news, he said: "I even jokingly asked the doctor if I could continue running the stall after getting sick." #mothershipnews

Pancreatic cancer is a death sentence. Stage 4 usually left just a few months.
