My main physical symptom of anxiety is shortness of breath(explanation as to why this happens below👇🏻) When this happens, I find myself yawning as a way to connect the breath and reassure myself that I can still breathe. It always comes up at the worst times 🙃 So, why do we experience physical symptoms with out anxiety? When you experience stress or anxiety your fight or flight response is triggered because your brain is responding to a perceived threat. This response will activate your sympathetic nervous system and involuntary physical responses will take place as your body prepares to fight off or flee the threat. Some examples include: * Shortness of breath * Throat feeling tight * Pounding heart or increased heart rate. * Sweating/ having a specific sweat smell. * Trembling * Headaches * Stomach pain & digestive issues * Struggling with sleep * Muscle aches * Chest pain * Fatigue How to help: - focus on your senses- what’s around you that you can see, hear, smell? - distract yourself, if safe, pull out a game or something on your phone to get your mind off your breath - move your body! dance around, shake, walk etc Ib: @alexa vanwinkle ❤️

“I think my dad is Spiderman” 🥹❤️ (Crowdfund L1NK 1N B10) #spiderman #homeless #kindness #father #family Internet meet David. David is a 35 year old single dad, currently living in the shelter with his three beautiful children. David’s dream is to have a job and safe home, to provide a better life than he had for his kids. After talking with David, I learnt that his partner has battled with mental health and other serious issues, and unfortunately is not playing a significant role in the life of their children, so David has full custody of them. David is doing his best he can but struggling to get out of the hole he currently is in. Furthermore, when I asked David what he wanted to do for work, he told me, “I am willing to do anything for my babies.” If you are willing to hire David and/or know someone who would in the NYC area, please email our team at zachery@onefluent.com with the E-Mail Title “Job For David” and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Let's all come together and show David the power of the internet and bless him and his babies. 100% of the net funds raised will go to covering David’s living expenses and finding this family a home. Be kind and love always ❤️

Over the past few years, fishermen off Cape Cod in Massachusetts have noticed fish being reeled out of the water with bite-shaped chunks missing or, in some cases, just their heads remain. The reason why has now been caught on camera for the first time by National Geographic Explorer and photographer Brian Skerry: the great white sharks are back. Known as depredation, this behavior is usually seen from above the water’s surface. By working with local charter boat captains and using a custom designed camera set-up that ensured the fishing lure stayed in the camera's frame, Skerry was able to see what this looks like underwater. Depredation is a sign that great whites are returning to these waters after nearly being driven to extinction, shark conservationists worry the behavior could drive a new outbreak of human-shark conflict. Learn more about this rarely seen shark behavior and what it could mean for sharks and fishermen at the 🔗 in bio.
