Yes I do. It’s ridiculous as I barely get anything done. This hasn’t changed for primary schools since the 1980’s.

user62971543 :
Can we connect teachers who teach the same year levels so that us in other states can try and support those that the system clearly doesn’t support? Need resources linked to Storm Boy? I got you. Let’s help each other!

And that 2 hours is not always presented as a block of time it is usually scattered across the week making it very difficult to get anything done!

And high school teachers in NSW get more time than primary teachers. The double for everyone which widens that gap.

Sam Jane :
Qld teachers are not much better. 150 minutes a week for primary teachers, and it can be in 30 minute increments, so you lose so much time moving around the school to the lessons.

Yes but in WA we aren’t entitled to a 30 minute break like every other employee under fairwork…

It even sucks when you work part time too. I get 1hr a week and not on weeks 5 and 10. It’s a joke.

That Japan Man :
Crazy that early childhood educators get the same sick and annual leave as any other industry. Should they get more for working with younger children? Closer to what primary school teachers get?
