I first found this song in my Spotify weekly discovery, back when Beyond Light came out. Just a few months after my father passed. I had no idea what Destiny was. But Deep Stone Lullaby felt almost like a message from him personally telling me he was okay and at peace. A few short years later, I met my Fiance. and he adores Destiny. Said it was his home. He got me to play it. And it became my home too. I will be forever grateful for this song.

oh the game destiny is man. I'm glad to see it getting its unvaulted content back, but this time was something special

serpexus :

Holy shit this hits right in the feels. I remember each raid we had a new player with us. Every time we get to that point after going through one of the most gruesome bosses. All of telling each other to shut the fuck up cause we wanted the new player to experience the jumping part. This will always have a place in my life

zutostarri :

Everytime I did DSC and we had gotten to this part, everyone, everytime had gone quiet just to listen to this section.

for each guardian who made their own destiny for each God slayed, and each friend lost, every speeder race, and every damn exotic quest...guardians make their own fate

Steven :

4 months ago hearing this song made me cry thinking of all the friendships I made playing this franchise and all the memories. Hearing it now brings a smile to my face and gives me hope for the future like Paul McCartney originally sang.

Joe Goldberg (Styx 🧟‍♂️) :

I remember always telling my brothers that I believed cayde would come back. They would say it’s been too long since he’s died they wouldn’t bring him back. But I still had hope and wow we did see him one last time.
