When I did my driving test, my instructor left her sunglasses sitting between the windshield wipers and the bonnet outside the car. I thought the tester was going to see them and make the test void. nerves were peaking.

When I had my drivers test it was a bit different. I walked into the local Police Station and asked to be tested. The Constable asked how many lessons I had had on my L’s and I told him 6. He looked at me and asked with who, I told him my grandfather’s name and he smiled and told me to go and wait in the car. The Sargent came out and got in and I drove him quite literally around the block. He signed my paper and sent me across the road to the RTA and they gave me my P’s. That was 40 years ago and I’ve never had an accident. Touch wood. 😉😂
