@randomvibes874: Oil normally comes from wells. But in Alberta, Canada, giant excavators literally dig oil-bearing sand out of the ground and load it into 400-ton mining trucks. The sand is crushed, mixed with hot water, and the thick bitumen is separated before being upgraded into synthetic crude oil. #megaproject #Engineering #crudeoil #mining
