8 things i never skip on injection day   ✅ 1. I skip alcohol completely for 24 hours after my shot This one i learned the hard way and i’m not going back.   👉 Your tolerance is already lower on this medication. Adding it on a fresh dose is asking for trouble. 👉 Nausea, dehydration and headaches all stack harder when alcohol meets injection day 👉 One day without it. Your body’s doing enough without adding a drink to the mix.   ✅ 2. I take a progress photo before i do anything else Injection day is my weekly checkpoint and the photo is the first thing i do.   👉 Same spot, same angle, same lighting. Takes ten seconds. 👉 I save them all in the DreamMe app next to my weekly logs so i can scroll back and see the full timeline in one place 👉 On the weeks the scale doesn’t move, the photos tell a different story. That’s the whole point.   ✅ 3. I play the same playlist every single time i take my shot This sounds silly but it turned a medical task into a routine my brain doesn’t fight.   👉 Same songs, same calm energy, same signal to my nervous system that this is fine 👉 It takes the thing from “procedure i dread” to “fifteen minutes i don’t mind” 👉 Pick something chill. Play it every week. Your brain will associate the music with calm instead of needles.   ✅ 4. I do a quick body scan before i inject to find where i’m not tense You’d be surprised how much tension you’re holding that you don’t notice until you look for it.   👉 Shoulders, jaw, stomach. If any of those are clenched the injection hurts more. 👉 I take three slow breaths and consciously relax the area before i even uncap the pen 👉 It takes 30 seconds and it’s the difference between “barely felt it” and “that one stung.”   ✅ 5. I don’t work out on injection day I used to push through and it made everything worse. Now i rest on purpose.   👉 Your body’s about to process a new dose. Adding physical stress on top of that is counterproductive. 👉 A gentle walk is fine. A hard gym session is not. Save the intensity for day three when your body’s settled. 👉 Resting isn’t lazy. It’s strategic. You’ll perform better later in the week because you rested now.   ✅ 6. I eat a slow, boring dinner before my shot instead of anything adventurous Injection night is not the night to try a new restaurant or a spicy recipe.   👉 Bland, familiar, easy to digest. Chicken and rice. Soup. Eggs and toast. Whatever your stomach trusts. 👉 Anything heavy or unfamiliar risks stacking digestive discomfort on top of what the medication’s about to do 👉 Save the interesting meals for mid-week when your body’s in its groove.   ✅ 7. I review my week’s data before i take my shot Five minutes of looking back at what worked and what didn’t before i reset for the next seven days.   👉 I pull up my logs in the DreamMe app and scan meals, symptoms, energy and mood from the past week 👉 It shows me exactly what to adjust and what to keep doing without guessing 👉 Shot day became my weekly strategy session. The injection is just the last step.   ✅ 8. I text one person “done” right after Accountability in two letters. That’s all it takes.   👉 My friend who knows what i’m doing gets a text every week. Just the word “done.” 👉 She sends back a thumbs up. That’s the whole exchange. But it makes it feel witnessed. 👉 Having someone who knows you showed up this week turns a solo ritual into something shared. Find that person.   save this for later. what day do you take your shot? drop it below 👇 i read every single one! ❤️
