Essex Girl 52 :
my daughter says this too me so I asked her, what she means when she says that, is for the chronic not to affect my mental health. so I think it depends on what type of chronic you have. mine is physical so I need to protect my mental health, if your chronic is mental then you need to take care of the physical. I dont feel it comes from privilege but more of a reminder that your chronic doesn't define you, you are not your chronic but a person with a chronic.

people need to learn how to remove word things cause sure its fine to think "im not going to let this stop me" but when speaking to other people its better to say "luckily im able to push through, its still taxing but its doable". Its not disregarding yourself and youre own struggle its keeping in mind the feelings of those youre talking too
