@gritsinmt: I went to counseling today, and in the waiting room was a board with pockets full of quotes. Each pocket had a different theme—love, addiction, inspiration, strength…etc. I chose “Peace.” The very first paper I pulled said: “Keep your face always toward the sunshine—and shadows will fall behind you.” —Walt Whitman Those words spoke to me today. Romans 6:1-2 comes to mind, "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?" As believers, we're called to live a life that honors God, not continue in our old ways. Ephesians 2:8-9, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith— and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." Our faith in Jesus is indeed the key to eternal life, and it's not based on our own efforts or good deeds. It's a gift from God, and it's through faith in Jesus that we can have assurance of our salvation. Sometimes the devil allows those to live a life free of trouble because he doesn’t want them turning to God. Don’t be blinded by all the great things happening in your life that you forget about God. GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE! Let’s be honest, you know if you’re fully committed to God or not. Don’t be content with just believing in God. Even demons believe in God. But, its through faith we are saved! This means believing AND accepting the Lord Jesus Christ into ALL aspects of our lives.
