Works best when both sockets are on the same electrical distribution / phase. Performance can drop badly across some breakers, surge protectors, UPS units, extension boards, or noisy appliances. Real-world speed is usually much lower than the number printed on the box. For stable high-speed use, Ethernet is still better; powerline is more of a convenient retrofit.

Agar dono rooms ki wiring completely separate hai aur dono ke meters bhi alag hain to powerline adapter normally kaam nahi karega kyun ke dono adapters ko ek hi electrical network ke through communicate karna hota hai.
