I will advise you and watch over you.” - ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭32‬:‭8‬ ‭ About three years ago, I discovered the field of ABA and became an RBT working with children on the spectrum. After being in the field for about a year, I knew this was where I needed to be. I love being able to be a part of these kids’ journey, and making a huge difference in their lives. It’s an amazing feeling watching them grow and accomplish so many things. In January 2025, I started my master’s program at Ball State in Applied Behavior Analysis to pursue my future dream of becoming a BCBA. This journey was far from easy; I faced many trials and tribulations, lost my father, setbacks, blood, sweat, and ALOT of tears. Despite it all, I never gave up and kept going, not only for me but for my babies. To my amazing support system: My family, friends, BCBA’s, and coworkers. Thank you for pushing me on the days I wanted to give up, believing in me when I didn’t, all your encouraging words, always being there when I needed someone, and just an unconditional amount of love and support during this time. So grateful for everyone, I love you all. To my guardian angels: Grandpa and Dad. I did it! I know both of you are looking down, proud of me and cheering me on. I love and miss you both. This one for yall! Thank you, God, for giving me the strength, determination, and willpower to keep going through this journey, and for allowing things to work in my favor even when the odds were stacked against me. None of this would have been possible without you. Such a blessing to be able to receive my third degree (second master’s) and two certifications in my future career on my birthday. This was my confirmation from God that I am exactly where I need to be, and this is the path he has planned for me. Nervous but excited for the next chapter in my life.
