7 years ago I was just a girl in beauty school, unsure, still figuring out my own curls let alone anyone else’s. Then I got thrown onto the floor for my first salon job and was terrified to even touch a client’s hair. I had clients trust me just because I had curly hair & y’all that was terrifying 🤣 Growth doesn’t happen overnight, it happens in the little moments you don’t even realize are shaping you. And honestly, my growth wasn’t a straight line, I had to go through so much trial & error. I got burnt out MORE than once with what I actually wanted to do in this industry. There were multiple times I wanted to quit, which I did. But when I finally started focusing on what I enjoyed the most, it was curly hair. I instantly knew I’d found something I loved!! Fast forward to now... I’m fully booked, in my own suite, teaching other stylists all about curly hair, and I’ve gained so much confidence behind the chair that beauty school Alaysia wouldn’t even recognize 😵‍💫 I’m not here because it was easy. I’m here because God kept ordering my steps even when I couldn’t see the plan, SO many times and because of every client who sat in my chair and trusted me along the way. Grateful doesn’t even cover it 🥹 Here’s to the next chapter, teaching, growing, and building a salon environment I’ve been dreaming about since day one. If you’re in beauty school right now feeling behind or unsure, that doesn’t mean anything about where you’ll end up. Keep showing up. God’s timing + hard work is undefeated!! 🤍
