Allen sucks for this. He was a great dad, but this was below the belt. Some guys, want to be a dad more than anything, but for some reason they can’t. So to tell them he doesn’t understand because he doesn’t have a son is just awful.

Both can be true at the same time. I think the takeaway is that, yes it’s right that he takes the F, but it also was right to do it. Actions have consequences, but sometimes that’s okay. Worth it to take the F

I get both sides but as the parent, if I’m letting my kid stay up late for a special event and as a result they fail a test, I just won’t be mad at them for it because I’ll know why they failed. I’d never expect special privileges from their school.

this show try way to hard to scare kids into doing good grades when realistically failing 1 6th grade test means nothing especially becuse grades dont syart electing your GPA until 9th grade lol this ahow loved to blow up tiny situations into big ass problems literaly the only times their were any actual REAL probelma in this show were 1. when Shawn becomes an alcoholic 2. when Shawn joins a cult 3. when topanga gets hit on and taken advantage of by a creepy pedo everything else ESPECIALLY in the early seasons was over exaggerated crybaby bullshit 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I’m both a father and an educator and I am 100% on Feeney’s side on this. Alan made a choice to put time with his son over his son’s education. Now I’m not saying that choice was inherently wrong, but choices have consequences. Feeney is enforcing those consequences and both Alan and Corey have to live with them. In fact, Alan is more wrong by insisting that the consequences somehow shouldn’t apply to Corey.

flip it. if I blew off work (without sick or vacation time) because my kid asked me spend time with them, it feels like it would be unreasonable to expect that my boss wouldn't hit me with a consequence. a write up or whatever. Feeney is akin to the boss for Corey in this and just isnt giving special treatment even if he gets why it happened
