I remember being on a tour of the pier and they wouldn’t let you on that part because it ‘wasn’t safe’. The safe part that they would let you on collapsed ages ago. The unsafe part is doing well in comparison.

I lived in Brighton, 1989, directly opposite it, West beach. when there were still buildings on it. The buildings were derelict, obviously, but it was still beautiful, especially at night.
