we have a guy who complains about the amount of work he does compared to everyone else, I left for a new job today and finaly told him I made the same mistake my first time too and told him the trick is to keep pace with the rest of the team and stop overachieving. I was promoted btw hes going to be stuck where he is forever because hes too good at his job.

My first office job they gave me a list of work to do for my first two weeks. I finished in 8 hours and two weeks later met with my gm finally and she praised my work on it.

don't tell your boss when you finish an assignment early. submit it just before the deadline. because not only will they pile more work on you, but your coworkers will resent you for making them look bad and raising the standard so that they have to work harder too.

bro for the last 7-8months before my contract expired im literally did gaming all day 9-5 in the office 😂 no one gives a crap if you seems busy they assume you actually busy. on god i was hella busy farming gold and leveling alts in wow all day
