@hkeye_: On 22 October, a video showing several female passengers forcing open the windows of an air-conditioned Star Ferry cabin to photograph the night view of Victoria Harbour has sparked widespread debate. The footage reveals several tourists forcing open the glass windows, blatantly ignoring a prominent bilingual warning sign that reads, “Please do not open windows when air-conditioning is on”. According to the original poster, ferry staff had previously allowed the group to take a few photos before closing the window, but the passengers subsequently forced it open again. Netizens have criticised the individuals for being selfish, noting they “want to enjoy the air-conditioning while taking photos”. Commenters suggested that fellow passengers should actively reprimand such unruly behaviour, noting “such individuals are often deterred by public scolding”. Others pointed out that passengers wishing to enjoy the sea breeze and take unobstructed photos should simply opt for the non-air-conditioned lower deck rather than violating regulations. #hongkongnews #hongkonglife #hongkong #hkeye #starferry #regulation #violate #openwindow #consciousness #anger #viralmoment #airconditioning #passenger #visitor #selfish #travel #debate #criticism #cabin #warning #fyp
