@thewhysideofficial: Never Hold This Fence Behind a Jet At Maho Beach in Sint Maarten, tourists stand at the airport fence as jets take off across the road. The exhaust can throw people into the concrete seawall. The tourist’s tumble in this animation is illustrative, but the danger is real: in 2017, a woman was fatally injured after being blown back by a departing jet. Keep clear of the fence and obey airport warnings. Sources: Newshub and Newstalk ZB reporting, July 2017. #aviation #MahoBeach #jets
