Search for LSE in EdX, you can audit the courses for free, read all the lesson notes, and watch all the videos. They are truly free, you just don't get a certificate to add in your CV, nor particiate in their assessments and receive their markings with this route. Those are for paid certificate. If you truly want to expand your knowledge and skills without the ability to pay for it, this is perfect.

Many US universities offer courses online, with quizzes, exams. For free. Digital texts also minimal price. Not sure if they charge for a certificate.
