I knew a man by the name Sean Bond, a stage name used by Darryl LeSean Bowden. In my experience, my faith in God, my kindness, compassion, and willingness to help were targeted and exploited. Through years of manipulation, I was boxed into devastating financial ruin. But this PSA is not about the private details of my relationship. It is about a growing number of people asking to be heard. WOMEN. MEN. ENTIRE FAMILIES. Women have connected through scam-reporting websites and survivor groups, sharing strikingly similar accounts. Men have also posted on these websites. Some women in our group have described the effects on extended family members. One young woman reported losing $10,000. Another recently reported approximately $70,000 through cash and credit cards. Based on losses disclosed to our group, the reported total is WELL BEYOND $1 MILLION. And the reports keep coming. BUT NOT EVERY LOSS CAN BE MEASURED IN DOLLARS. TWO WOMEN SAY THEY WERE UNWITTINGLY USED AS “HOME BASES.” One for THREE YEARS. Another for SEVEN YEARS. During those years, they did not know the full truth. They have since uncovered what was happening, including other relationships concealed from them. THEY DID NOT KNOW THEN. THEY KNOW NOW. These women were not willing participants in anyone’s deception. They are speaking from what they have since discovered. Their years of trust, stability, and emotional investment matter. THESE WOMEN WANT TO BE HEARD, TOO. Several women have also raised concerns about the possible involvement of Vidal Stewart. Those allegations deserve independent review. WE HAVE REPORTED. DOCUMENTED. WAITED. Since 2024, numerous women personally known to me have filed complaints with the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) in the United States. Two women in Germany have also filed reports. I personally communicated with an FBI agent and provided additional information as more people came forward. Yet we have not received the meaningful, coordinated response we have sought. We have financial records, contracts, rental histories, photographs, messages, and people willing to provide firsthand accounts. ON OCTOBER 20, 2026, THE ROMANCE SCAM PREVENTION ACT BECAME LAW. It requires online dating services to notify users who received messages from accounts subsequently banned for fraud. It is a meaningful step toward prevention. BUT WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY REPORTED? Who is examining these complaints together? Who is listening to the women who lost years, even when their loss cannot be put on a bank statement? How many families must be affected before the reported pattern receives serious review? MR. PRESIDENT, WE ARE ASKING FOR ACTION. We ask the FBI, the Department of Justice, and appropriate authorities to examine the evidence and determine whether a coordinated investigation is warranted. We are not calling for harassment or retaliation. We are asking to be heard through proper legal channels. To anyone who recognizes these names or has a similar experience: preserve your records, protect your personal information, and report suspected fraud to the appropriate authorities.
