Why do calories change? Have you ever wondered why 100 g of a raw food doesn’t have the same calories as 100 g once it’s cooked? 🤔 The answer is simple: water. When we cook foods like rice, pasta, or meat: 🔥 They lose or absorb water ⚖️ Their final weight changes 📊 The nutrients don’t disappear, they just become more concentrated or more diluted 👉 That’s why: 100 g of raw rice looks “more calorie-dense” But once cooked, it absorbs water and spreads over a larger volume The same thing happens with meat and fish. When cooked, they lose water, so calories and macros become more concentrated per gram. ❗ Cooking doesn’t make food fattening. We’re just comparing different weights. 💡 Key takeaway: To better track portions and calories, be consistent: Weigh foods always raw or Weigh foods always cooked, but don’t mix both methods 📌 Nutrition isn’t magic. It’s context and consistency. How do you usually weigh your food, raw or cooked? 👀👇#weigh #macros #calories #raw #cooked

Franz Kafka edited A Hunger Artist on his deathbed, tragically mirroring his own fate. Diagnosed with laryngeal tuberculosis, the disease made swallowing so agonizingly painful that he literally starved to death in June 1924, just before the collection containing his dark masterpiece about a fasting performer was published. . . . . . . . . . . . #kafka #change #philosophy #literature #SelfImprovement
