@ltbrmarketing: #godisgood #dailyprayersanddevotionals #holyspirit #jesuschrist #jesusinspiration John 15:5 Devotion – He is the Vine, We are the Branches Most of us are familiar with the phrase “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” This thought is a spiritual truth for me as well as a predictor of my behaviors, habits, and character traits. Life taught me the hard way that I do become a product of my own environment. What I choose to surround myself with and cling to becomes the driving force of my attitudes and behaviors. I did not do very well on my own creating my environment. That hole in my heart feeling I had before I found Jesus was from my self-centered attempts to belong and to feel a part of. When I started walking with Jesus, not only did that hole in my heart get filled with love, joy, peace, and acceptance, but also, I finally felt connected. Thank You Jesus! "‘I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.'" — John 15:5 This powerful verse reminds us of our vital connection to Jesus, the true vine. As branches, we are nourished and sustained by His life-giving power. When we stay rooted in Him—through prayer, faith, and obedience—we flourish and bear fruit that honors God and blesses others. Sometimes, life can feel overwhelming, and we may doubt our strength or purpose. But in those moments, remember that you are never alone. Jesus is always there, ready to empower and strengthen you. His love and grace are the roots beneath our feet, supporting us through every trial and triumph. Your life has great potential because you are connected to Jesus—the vine of life itself. Trust in His power to guide you, to transform your heart, and to multiply the good works you do. No matter what challenges you face today, stay connected to Him, and watch how your life begins to reflect His love and grace. Prayer Jesus, thank You for being the true vine that sustains and nourish my soul. I admit that I often try to do things on my own, but I recognize that I need You every moment. Please help me to remain connected to You, to trust in Your power, and to bear good fruit in my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so I can live in Your love and share it with others.
