🚨Ruben Amorim on why he was laughing while AC Milan were losing 3-0 to Bournemouth: 🎙️ Reporter: Ruben, people noticed you laughing on the touchline while your team were losing 3-0. Why? 🗣️ Ruben Amorim: “People might look at me laughing and call me a madman. Others might say I don’t know what I’m doing or that I’m losing my head. They’re all correct. [laughs] “But when you send a team out, give them instructions, explain exactly what they need to do, and then watch them walk onto the pitch and forget everything you told them, honestly, sometimes it’s worth laughing at. “I was looking at Da Winter and Pavlovic, watching how they were struggling in one-on-one situations, and it was honestly embarrassing. They were making things difficult for themselves, and Bournemouth were taking full advantage of it. “The most frustrating thing is that we spoke about these situations before the game. We knew Bournemouth would press us, attack the spaces, and put our defenders under pressure. We knew what they were going to do, but knowing something and actually stopping it are two completely different things. “At that moment, I had two choices. I could start shouting, losing my temper, and making the situation even worse, or I could just sit there and laugh. I chose to laugh because I did not want to go into that game with anger. “Of course, I wasn’t laughing because I was happy. We were losing 3-0, we had lost our goalkeeper to a red card, and our performance was nowhere near the level I expected. What exactly was I supposed to celebrate? “But sometimes, as a manager, you reach a point where you look at what is happening and ask yourself if the players are actually listening to you. You spend hours preparing a team, explaining the tactics, showing them videos, and telling them what to expect. Then the game starts, and you see the same mistakes you warned them about. “That is the part that hurts the most. Bournemouth did not surprise us with anything extraordinary. They pressed, they ran, they attacked, and they punished our mistakes. We made their job easier than it needed to be. “So, yes, I laughed. Maybe people think I have lost my mind, and perhaps they have a point. But tomorrow, when we return to training, nobody will be laughing. We have a lot to discuss, and some players need to understand that following instructions is not optional at this level. “You can forgive a player for making a mistake. What is difficult to accept is watching him make the exact mistake you spent the entire week warning him about and then expect the manager to smile.” [ This is the source @UTD_Seth001 ]#acmilan #bournemouth #europaleague #creatorsearchinsights #capcut - @anyi.manchester.u
