Worth noting they removed the "AI" from the setting name itself. It is now "Allow Agentd to control NVIDIA App" under "AI Agents and App Connections"

An MCP server is just an API, it doesn't actually do anything on its own. If you don't intend to use an agent to control the app you can disable it, but leaving it enabled won't do anything unless you call that server via a separate backend. . Having it on by default is genuinely the path of least resistance because if you want it, it's there, and if you don't, then simply don't call it.

This probably shouldn’t be turned on by default, but this does nothing unless you are actively using agents on your computer for the Nvidia app.
