I have POTS, Hydrocephalus, and Cerebral Palsy, and for years I thought setting boundaries meant I was being difficult. It's not. It's self-preservation. A loving boundary sounds like: • I want to come, but can only do some for (this time), so that I can rest. • I can (do this) but I cannot (do this) • I’m sorry but I am not feeling well, I cannot participate. I will message you to see if you’re available later this week. You don't have to over-explain your body to be worthy of respect.
