@nltc20: “I know what to do. I just need more discipline.” We hear this a lot from patients who've lost weight before, sometimes more than once. But losing weight and maintaining that weight loss aren't exactly the same challenge. When you're actively losing weight, you're working toward a goal. You may be tracking your food, exercising more, or following a structured plan. But what happens when you reach that goal? Your appetite may increase. Your body may burn fewer calories at its new weight. And the routines that helped you lose weight may not be realistic to maintain forever. That's where many people struggle. Weight maintenance isn't simply about continuing to lose weight more slowly. It requires its own strategy. That might mean adjusting your nutrition, continuing strength training, monitoring your weight, or getting ongoing medical support. And for some patients, that includes long-term weight management medication. The goal shouldn't be to see how much weight you can lose in the shortest amount of time. It should be to find an approach you can actually maintain. At New Life Transformation Center, we believe your weight loss plan should include a plan for what happens after the weight comes off. #WeightLossMaintenance #MedicalWeightLoss #SustainableWeightLoss #TucsonWeightLoss #NewLifeTransformationCenter
