@jirentheret: Your WoW Forever FPS Problem Isn't the Grass (3 Settings That Matter) Turning grass and view distance down in WoW Forever barely helps: one beta tester dropped View Distance, Environment Detail and Ground Clutter to the minimum and got only about 10 FPS back. The settings that really cost frames: Shadow Quality, Compute Effects and Secondary Lighting (players report Secondary Lighting on Good or Fair fixed most of their lag). Low Latency Mode halved that tester's FPS. Sudden drop from 150 to 30 FPS? Players blame a beta memory leak: relog. The catch: lowering those three costs you the new visuals. Pretty or fast? The real reason to drop your foliage is so that you can see herbs better

Please use frame time for representative comparison. +-5 fps around 30 fps is a lot, +-5 fps around 120 is nothing

This is entirely dependent on your computer, and which parts are holding you back. I’m playing on a «gaming» laptop from 2020 and max vs min view distance takes me from 50 fps to 120

The difference for Secondary Lighting at Ultra vs Fair is almost unnoticeable.

I upgraded to a x3d processor and it fixed my 1% fps lows. Unfortunately it couldn’t fix my sleep and I pulled wife aggro and don’t play anymore.

Water quality can be turned down also! I saw zero benefits having it higher than good.

I like that we can now have different settings in the open world and in raids/battle ground. So 60 fps everything ultra in open world and 150 fps in PvP and raid with lower settings

I had no lag, except when the whole server would. Even at highest org pop I’ve seen was at 80-90 fps. 140-150 in world
