My job is ATC and I’m a hobbyist woodworker. I have no real tech background. This morning I played around on Codex and built an app to track by vehicle maintenance and I’m trying to hook up an agenetic piece that will go out in make appointments for my wife’s EV and then offer it to her to approve or deny and then add it to the iCal. I did half of this on the toilet. What a cool time to be alive.

Memories Matter :
I love the media analysis. I think coding will end up a lot like custom carpentry: Factory slop for the plebes and custom hand coded elegance/excitement/quality for the exploiter class.

Unrelated but what open source models would you say are the best and most cost effective for algorithms to analyze long legal contracts? I’m working on something and use Ollama which is okay but somewhat slow.

Ok I’ll play around with it for sure. I think my initial point though is that at the end of the day I can now build anything I want but because everyone else can too it feels pointless to build things for other people. I want to continue to build things that help solve real problems instead of games or the next social media since I’ve done that already but haven’t figured out what that is for me yet. Really appreciate your videos CJ and thanks for the response.

What I don’t understand is given how all of the players in this space buying these media companies and trying to reshape the Middle East…supported and dare I say orchestrated the current situation with Iran. Like did they not realize what it would do to their sovereign funding sources? Like are kushner and Ellison that stupid? Spending all of this capital to support a demolition which led to the war…the obvious outcome of that war being the straight being closed and these neighboring countries being causalities of American alliances…why would they cost themselves all of this money and all international good will to endlessly support a certain actor? Do you know what I mean
