@ballinbible: Tom Brady questions The Overlap on why so many Premier League mangers are sacked #overlap #garyneville #roykeane #premierleaguefootball #bpl
The fact that he publicly states that he doesn’t know certain things make him so much more credible in my eyes

a manager can give the players the best tactics and game plan in the world, but it's ultimately up to the players to execute them

I'd argue that the manager sets the game plan. Brady wouldn't have the rings he has if the manager put in a game plan that didn't optimize his talents.
1. Managers develop their style of play.
2. General Manages/Directors get players to fit that system.
3. Players execute the game plan.
if one of those 3 fails, you won't win.

It’s cheaper to change your coach than to change a few players

he's right, most of those clubs never give a coach enough time to set up a system of identity to the team

It’s true for man united they’ve had Shaw, Maguire, Dalot, Rashford, since 2019 and would rather fire coaches than replace these players

I think the gap in player quality at the top is small so coaches and tactics become more important

They fire coaches because something needs to change and they can’t replace the players at that time. And unlike American sports they’re worried about relegation.

I just don’t get firing a manager after a single season. Chances are they are inheriting a bad team. How can they run their system with poor players they didn’t pick? How is fair to expect them to turn things completely around in 1-2 seasons? I feel like you’d miss out on some great managers that way.

if messi or Ronaldo(GOAT) had average coaches then they would have flopped, great managers impact players and fans

football has become too commercialized to put up with managers and losing...watch Alex Ferguson's documentary..trust me he wouldn't have survived now as a manager
