I think this is deliberate by the writer. It is such an egregious display of an age gap that I cannot imagine that there isn't more to it than what we have been shown. I do not believe that they will marry. It is a means to an end. It is going to force Cihan to face what he really wants. All the anger at Alya and Cihan choosing other people is character development for them to choose each other. Are they taking the long way to establish that? Yes. Should we be patient and trust? Also yes. Remember, this show goes until next summer and they have to fill over two hours each week. I think it is time for reconciliation so we can focus on other stories more in depth because I feel there is some good stuff there.
