@tickpick: The Chicago Bears dedicated their TNF game last night to honoring the LEGENDARY Mike Ditka, who passed away on October 9, at age 86 🪽 Chicago celebrated “Iron Mike” with several stadium-wide tributes at Soldier Field: - Every fan in attendance received a fake mustache, and the first 10,000 fans also received knit headbands matching Ditka’s iconic Bears sweater vest - The team wore a special football shaped jersey patch featuring No. 89 over their hearts, which they will also continue to wear for the remainder of the season. - Stadium clocks read “89:00” all afternoon before kickoff as a nod to Ditka’s retired No. 89 jersey. - A video tribute played during the pregame, followed by a moment of silence broadcast live. - Soldier Field grass featured a special tribute stencil on the sideline. - A curated collection of memorabilia (provided by the Pro Football Hall of Fame) was set up in the stadium’s south courtyard for fans to view. The matchup against the Patriots also served as a fitting backdrop, as Ditka famously coached the 1985 Bears to a Super Bowl victory over the same franchise. May he rest in peace 🧡 #TickPick #mikeditka #chicago #chicagobears #nfl
