not sure about your state but in Arizona it is considered a hit and run and a misdemeanor class 1 or 3 offense. if someone dings your car, is aware of the damage they caused, and does not acknowledge the damage by leaving a note regarding the incident, they can be fined up to $2500, get a suspended license, and believe it or not jail time. as an extra precaution especially with the Tesla hate, I always park my Tesla backwards so the cameras can capture license plates because here in Arizona the plates are only in the back of the car.

I’ve started parking as far back as I can. I have scratches from being sideswiped and other doors hitting my car. It’s just so disrespectful to hit other peoples property like that, especially with the price of vehicles. Ugh, RUDE!
