![Experiencing Air India’s Original Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Business Class | On my return flight from (DEL) Airport, New Delhi, to Dubai International (DXB), I wanted to experience Air India’s older Boeing 787-8 Business Class before the fleet undergoes its ongoing cabin upgrades. I’ve heard plenty of mixed reviews about this classic 2-2-2 Business Class cabin, but I wanted to experience it myself. With a relatively light passenger load, I had plenty of opportunities to explore and film. I settled into seat 1J after a warm welcome from the crew, complete with smiles and traditional namaste greetings. Waiting at my seat were a soft wool-blend shawl and pillow. The cabin may be old-school, but everything worked perfectly, from the entertainment screen and movies to the seat controls and fully flat bed. After two welcome refreshments, the crew introduced themselves and presented the onboard menu, featuring four main-course options. This was my 6th Air India Business Class flight, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed every single one! Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll review the onboard dining and fully flat bed experience.
