Johnny Cash did what so many amazing singers have done, Elton John, Whitney, patsy Cline, they took others music(lyrics) and put so much of their own emotion into it, it became their own. dolly wrote i will always love you, a man wrote most of patsy clines songs, Elton John wrote the music but not the lyrics. even Queen, they were the ultimate collaboration of musical genius, everyone in the band wrote the lyrics, music and helped produced. I have an infinity for fact checking "did this singer write this songs lyrics?" it doesn't take away from the emotions, and passion the singer puts into it, for me.

Crazy how this song sends each of us on our own personal reflection. What does it make you think of? For me, it makes me think about my father. We are estranged. He is nearing his 60’s, and I don’t think I’ll ever see him again. We have many bad memories together. Some good, but there was a lot of hurt. He did things he will not take ownership for, and he won’t change. I long for the man he could have been. I pray our Heavenly Father has mercy on us
