He deserves the chance to feel safe outside the shelter! ❤️🐾 Donny has been at Dallas Animal Services for over 60 days and is now at risk because the shelter is over capacity. He needs an adopter, foster, or rescue partner to give him the opportunity he deserves. 🐶 MEET DONNY! Donny is a 2-year-old, 59-pound neutered male who is heartworm positive. He is a laid-back, easygoing boy who enjoys sniffing and exploring his surroundings. He has good manners, walks well on a leash, and has shown tolerance toward other dogs. When volunteers first met Donny, he tended to keep his distance and was nervous about interacting with people. But with patience and kindness, he has started to blossom! ❤️ During a recent volunteer visit, Donny warmed up, became more playful, solicited treats and affection, and happily enjoyed attention from someone he trusted. He can be hand-shy and may flinch when petted, so a gentle, patient approach will help him feel secure. 🐾 DONNY’S DOG SOCIALIZATION NOTES: He has consistently been described as tolerant and gentle with other dogs.
