Genuinely dont want to project my traumatic experiences onto anyone, but as a content creator with a relatively large audience, I felt like sharing this. There are times in life when youll feel incredibly sad, lost and drained. Whether its EDs, SH, SCD, school, trauma, or anything else you’re struggling with, I think its safe to say that Im living proof that it DOES get better. Recovery doesnt happen in the span of two weeks. It takes time, patience, therapy, self-awareness and, learning to believe in yourself again. There will be days when you feel like youve made no progress at all and days when old feelings come back and days when simply getting out of bed feels like an achievement. That doesnt mean youve failed.. To anyone reading this who currently feels trapped in their own mind, who hates themselves, who feels like things will never change, or who forgot what it feels like to genuinely be happy again: I promise you that your current situation doesn’t have to be your forever. Im not saying this because life magically becomes perfect once you start healing. Im trying to say this because Ive learned that even when you genuinely cannot imagine a better future for yourself, that doesnt mean it wont get better. Please give yourself the chance to experience the life you havent lived yet. You deserve to experience life beyond your pain. You are not your worst moments. You are not your past. And you are not beyond healing. Take your time. Be gentle with yourself. You deserve to get better too🤍 And yes i mightve shed a tear or two making or writing this - @ramoonawaldhart
