Thank you for sharing this. Im chronically ill and I have a sibling who never encouraged me in anything, in fact would go out of their way to do the opposite. This type of love is something I always wished I could experience. But when I watch or hear stories like this, it’s like I get to experience a little bit of what that love would be like, even if just an observer. And there’s something about that that feels really good.

I used to send birthday cards on MY birthday to my surgeon, the nurses station on the 5th floor and to my ostomy nurse.... thanking them fit allowing me to celebrate another year. Forever changed due to my temporary ostomy. you are a warrior in my eyes. I'm in awe of your strength.
