No ground is ever loud every match. It's about the occasion. And on a one off occasion, Anfield is the greatest ground in the world.

The ‘anfields a myth’ fans are the ones that expect it to be bouncing at 12:30 against Fulham

Every single manager and ex player says Anfield is the best atmosphere. Ste on Twitter says it’s a myth. I know who I’m believing.

As a Liverpool fan, that Chelsea CL semi was the loudest I’ve ever witnessed Anfield.. unfortunately too many people (tourists) go to Anfield to sample the atmosphere and forget they’re there to help create it

You can criticise it all you like when they’re playing relegation fodder at 12:30 but at its best, anfield is untouchable.

Liverpool Chelsea 2005 Anfield atmosphere will never be topped. Not only during the game and after but before a ball was kicked it was the loudest I’ve ever heard a stadium be. Genuinely if you’ve never seen it, go to YouTube. You’d never believe that’s what Anfield was like back then compared to how quiet it can be now

Went to Liverpool vs Fulham on the 12th of September. It was a 0-0 draw but it was very loud.

Owen Cafferty :
The fact of the matter is Liverpool is one of the biggest games of the season for every team in the Prem, either as a close rival or as a big club game. But for Liverpool not every game is a big match sometimes it is just the match at any given week. The levels to what a match is for a crowd are real for every team, but it just so happens to be a massive game for everyone playing us, but not always massive for us
