People have driven these cars all the way from Kampala, Uganda to Diani, Kenya (coast) and back. And they were driving the Subaru forester SG9 which has the EJ25. That's over 3,100 Kms. That's like 3 days of driving to and fro and the Oil is just okay. I think the Oil problem is overstated

Man I don’t what you guys doing to these engine… scared of driving it 6h 😅, 3rd sti from 2005 to 2019 all of gen never had any issue just regret of sailing my 2005 sti.

I just took a 3,500 mile trip with no issues at all, and the car is in perfect condition; for daily driving, I think the FA is better (it’s running a Stage 2 93-octane tune).

Ej253 is the only option, beat the shit out of it every day, doesn’t leak, doesn’t burn, and no head gasket issues
