In Tennessee it is TennCare. In California it is Medi Cal. In Massachusetts it is MassHealth. If you have ever heard someone mention one of these and wondered if it was a different program, it is the same Medicaid, just a different name. This matters because if you are searching online for help or trying to find your state's application, searching "Medicaid" alone might not get you to the right place. Knowing your state's actual program name can save you some frustration.
