Are trees supposed to remain standing forever? Mature trees grown for commercial purposes can be harvested responsibly and used to meet the growing demand for timber in Kenya. Instead of opposing tree harvesting altogether, we should advocate for responsible harvesting, replanting, and sustainable forest management. Kenya has a significant demand for timber, and leaving commercially grown trees to become overmature or deteriorate is not necessarily the best approach. The solution is not to stop harvesting trees, but to ensure that harvesting is sustainable and that harvested trees are replaced through proper replanting. We can support the timber industry while protecting our environment. Responsible harvesting and tree planting should go hand in hand.

Some people are the reason our country will still suffer. I have gone through the comment section and I feel bad that people still don't understand the impacts of deforestation.

you're just playing politics. when trees are mature they're all harvested ndio you plant new trees. this is done to stop the old and new plants completing for food or resources. that entire place will be replanted with new trees
