Sorry, but baptism has its roots in Jewish tradition, Jezus was a Jew. Particularly the ritual immersion in a mikveh. I feel that this tradition has been taken out of its original context. And copied. I also believe that such a personal and meaningful choice should be made by the individual themselves. Just as I cannot make an important personal choice on your behalf, I don’t believe I can make that choice for someone else, either. Faith should be a conscious and personal decision, not something decided for you before you’re able to understand it.
