When an NBC News reporter pressed him about Amy Acton’s allegations of childhood ab*se, Trump told her to be “quiet” and called her a “horrible little reporter.” Ramaswamy’s ad features Acton’s estranged mother calling her daughter, the Democratic candidate for Ohio governor, a liar and urging voters to reject her. One detail the ad leaves out: Acton accused her stepfather of s3xually ab*sing her when she was a 12-year-old child. He was charged with r*pe in 1978. He had previously been charged with inc3st in a separate 1974 case before he married Acton’s mother. Acton and her brother were removed from their mother’s custody and haven’t seen her in decades. She remained married to their stepfather until his death. Ohio Republican Gov. Mike DeWine called the ad “deeply troubling” and urged Ramaswamy to take it down.
