@catcharium: You've driven over the best fishing spot in town a thousand times. 🎣 It's right under the bridge. A bridge gives a river everything a fish wants: shade, a break from the current, deep water and food. 1. The shade line: fish have no eyelids, so on a bright day they tuck into the bridge's shadow right on its edge, and as the sun moves the fish move with it. Cast into the sun and bring your bait back across the edge. 2. The pillars: a calm pocket behind each one, and a soft cushion right in front where a fish sits nose to the concrete. 3. The hole: the river digs out the bed at the pillars' feet. Engineers call it scour, the number one reason bridges fail in America. Fish call it home. 4. The rocks: boulders piled round the footings are full of crayfish, and the bass come to eat them. 5. The lights at night: bait gathers in the glow and the big fish wait just outside it, in the dark. Next time you drive over a bridge... look down. #fishing #bridgefishing #riverfishing #fishingtips #smallmouthbass
