Waxwell is a mischievous Toon, though unlike Gigi Render , he takes slightly more drastic measures, doing pranks with seemingly more malicious intent like stealing Toodles Render ' Dog Plush and attempting to burn it. He has also added extra things to Sprout Render and Cosmo Render 's baked goods with the intent of ruining the recipes, only for Sprout to thank him for supposedly helping them in their interaction. Apparently, these pranks always backfire, either by him messing up, other Toons accepting it, or even reacting positively. When things don't go as planned, he throws a tantrum, trying to either downplay his failures or twist the situation to make it seen like his antics worked, as seen in multiple interactions. Waxwell also tries to ignore things to make his claims work sometimes, like when he denied research about dinosaurs in dialogue with Shelly Render . He also makes attempts to immolate other Toons and stuff, like how he jokingly considered burning Flutter Render 's wings, only for her to immediately berate him for that. It seems like he has a softer side or at least is not as malicious or "evil" as he tries to act. When Goob Render offers to hug him, he considers it, but immediately backtracks and threatens Goob. He is also self conscious of the fact his plans always backfire and how he never seemed to succeed in the Show, as is evident while talking with Glisten Render and Vee Render , this can be the reason of his almost-constant tiredness, only removing when doing a new prank, but failing over and over again, despite Dandy Render 's belief that Waxwell is not impacted by the constant failure of his pranks.

In solo runs, his strengths become a lot more apparent. His 5 Star Movement Speed lets him escape almost all of the Twisteds, though without anyone distracting, regenerating and managing Stamina will be harder. His high Skill Check makes doing Machines easier too, also lessening the amount of Skill Check failures and Twisted attractions, albeit the low Extraction Speed makes you stay on them for a while longer. Despite his Ability's main purpose of decreasing others' cooldowns being useless in a solo scenario, the temporary removal of the Tired II Debuff as well as the light produced from the flames can still provide great benefits.
