@getmomstrong: Your core can work for you, or it can work against you. Comment CORE101 and let me teach you how to make it work FOR YOU! Literally no strings attached. Every exercise is a CORE exercise when you know how to use your core! 🔥 And if you DON’T know how to properly engage your core and manage pressure, you could be doing more than just missing out on some extra ab work. You could actually be putting unnecessary pressure on your pelvic floor. 😳 Here’s what I mean… Every time you lift, push, pull, squat, or press, you create pressure inside your abdominal cavity. That’s NORMAL. And necessary! But HOW your body manages that pressure matters. A LOT. Your diaphragm, deep abdominals, and pelvic floor are designed to work together as a pressure management system. When you breathe and engage your core effectively, they work together to create stability and distribute pressure throughout your trunk. But when that system isn’t coordinating well? 👉 You might hold your breath and bear down instead of creating controlled tension. 👉 You might push pressure outward against your abdominal wall, contributing to doming or coning. 👉 You might direct excessive pressure DOWN onto your pelvic floor, potentially worsening symptoms of prolapse or pelvic floor dysfunction. And here’s the kicker… You can have STRONG abs and still have a poorly coordinated pressure management system! A six pack doesn’t mean 💩 That’s why I’m constantly preaching that core healing isn’t just about doing MORE ab exercises. It’s about learning how to BREATHE, how to ENGAGE, and how to manage pressure during ALL movement. A good place to start? ✨ Inhale and allow your rib cage to expand in 360 degrees, including into your sides and back. ✨ Exhale through the challenging part of the movement, allowing your deep abdominals and pelvic floor to respond naturally. ✨ Learn to create tension WITHOUT constantly sucking in, bearing down, or gripping your abs for dear life. Because when you learn to manage pressure, every workout becomes an opportunity to train your core AND support your pelvic floor. Comment CORE101 and I’ll teach you the magic!
