A relationship breakup is never a justification for violence. Nobody belongs to another person. Nobody has the right to control a partner through threats, intimidation or violence. If someone chooses to leave a relationship, the mature response is to accept it and move on, not to destroy a life. And to those reacting to the suspect's alleged background, let us be clear: if the suspect is from Abakaliki, that does not make the people of Abakaliki collectively responsible.
