As a parent who had to pull her two kids from FCPS this year bc the kids are not disciplined and too disruptive, I feel for these teachers. They have lost the ability to teach and maintain order in the classroom bc there are no consequences for kids being bad

I don't know the details but let's be honest here: If the kids were acting up and deserved a punishment, holding books in the air for a brief period is a good way to do it.
